Search the nutrient database
Calculate your daily energy and nutrient intake by using the form below. You can add up to 25 meals or food ingredients to your regimen. On the bottom of the page click "calculate". The next page displays the total of your daily caloric intake and 24 nutrients. Only those nutrients are shown that are related to your weight loss or you may be at risk for defficiency. To make the table more transparent, many irrelevant nutrients are omitted. For instance, vitamin B5 deficiency practically never occurs, although this fact doesn't hinder pharmecutical companies to sell you B5 supplements. More importantly, the insulin index (II), glycemic index (GI) , and glucose score (GS) is shown for those nutrients where a reliable data source was available. Although iodine plays a crucial role in the regulation of your basal metabolic rate, iodine content is not included in the nutrient database. The reason is that the actual iodine content of a given food widely varies on the location where the food was produced.
